A warm welcome for the medal winners at Bhubaneswar Airport after the World Powerlifting Championships. From October 11 to 13, two competitors from Odisha participated in the World Powerlifting Championships held in Sydney, Australia, and both won medals. Upon their arrival at Bhubaneswar Airport, they were honored by the association. The two competitors are Atish Kumar Bej from Bhubaneswar and Chinmayee Das from Cuttack. Atish won a silver medal in the men’s 74 kg category by lifting 620 kg, while Chinmayee secured gold in the women’s 85 kg category with a lift of 380 kg. Both athletes expressed that with government or private support and cooperation, they will achieve further success in the future.
