After India’s 3-0 defeat to New Zealand, India’s hopes of reaching the WTC (World Test Championship) final have significantly dimmed. Before this Test series, India was at the top of the ICC Test rankings. However, after losing to New Zealand by 3-0, India has now dropped to second place in the rankings. If India wants to make it to the WTC final, they must defeat Australia by 4-0 in their upcoming series.
On the other hand, three other countries are also in contention for a spot in the WTC final alongside India: Sri Lanka, New Zealand, and South Africa. If we look at the percentage chances of reaching the WTC final, these countries are not far behind India. India has a 58.33% chance of making it to the final, while Sri Lanka has a 55.56% chance, New Zealand has a 54.55% chance, and South Africa has a 54.17% chance.
