Kalinga Institute of Technology (KIIT) Sports Mahakumbh Concludes with Records and Medals

The Sports Mahakumbh held at KIIT University concluded today with a grand celebration. The event was graced by KIIT and KISS founder Achyuta Samanta, Reliance Athletics’ Chief Coach Martin Owens, retired Group Captain Dinesh Suri, Organizing Secretary Sanjay Gadnayak, KISS University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Deepak Behera, and KIIT Sports Director Dr. Gaganendu Dash. Outstanding athletes were awarded and medals were distributed during the ceremony.

This competition, the largest of its kind at the Indian university level, saw the establishment of 11 new records. KIIT University showcased remarkable performance, winning six gold medals along with other accolades.

In the overall rankings, Mangalore University topped the leaderboard with 120 points, followed by Madras University in second place, and Punjab University in third. KIIT University secured third place in the women’s overall championship category.

On this occasion, founder Achyuta Samanta extended his best wishes to all successful athletes, celebrating their achievements.
