RCB Franchise Ownership Is now Considering Selling The Team.

RCB’s Brand Value Soars
Skyrockets After Winning the Trophy

RCB (Royal Challengers Bangalore) has clinched its first-ever IPL trophy in the 2025 season. Following the historic win, the team’s brand value has started soaring to new heights. Even earlier, in terms of popularity, RCB was well ahead of many other IPL franchises. Now, after finally securing the trophy, that popularity has grown even further.

The 2025 IPL season brought an end to RCB’s 17-year-long wait. After 18 years since the league’s inception, the team has finally tasted victory, and discussions about RCB are now widespread everywhere.

It is estimated that RCB’s current brand value is around $2 billion (approximately ₹16,834 crore). Interestingly, after this increase in brand value, it is reported that the franchise ownership is now considering selling the team.

RCB is operated in India by United Spirits Ltd, a subsidiary of Diageo Plc. Now, the company has reportedly initiated talks with potential investors to sell the franchise. The British distiller Diageo Plc, the parent company of United Spirits Ltd, is believed to be evaluating whether to sell its stake in Royal Challengers Bangalore either fully or partially. Since RCB recently became champions, the owners appear keen to capitalize on this success.
