The 39th National Junior Athletics Championship in the Women’s Under-18 shot put, Haryana’s Anshu claimed gold

The 39th National Junior Athletics Championship is being held at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar. The event will take place from December 7 to December 11, lasting five days. Around 2,000 athletes are expected to participate. Haryana will have the highest number of participants, with 150 athletes, while Odisha will be represented by a total of 78 athletes, including 43 male and 35 female participants.

In the Junior Under-20 10,000 meters race, Madhya Pradesh secured the gold medal, Maharashtra’s Gaurav Bhosale won silver, and Haryana’s Arun won bronze. Similarly, in the Women’s Under-20 5,000 meters race, Maharashtra’s Prachi Devkar clinched gold, Madhya Pradesh’s Sonam Parmar won silver, and Uttar Pradesh’s Nita Rani secured bronze.

In the Women’s Under-18 discus throw, Punjab’s Amanat Kamboj won gold, Haryana’s Ridhi secured silver, and Uttar Pradesh’s Supriya Atare won bronze. In the Women’s Under-18 shot put, Haryana’s Anshu claimed gold, Rajasthan’s Pooja Kumari earned silver, and Bihar’s Alka Singh took bronze.

In the Women’s Under-20 discus throw, Rajasthan’s Nikita Kumari won gold, Haryana’s Neha Jaglan took silver, and Kerala’s Akhil Raju won bronze. In the Women’s Under-20 1,500 meters race, Uttar Pradesh’s Binita Gurjar won gold, Haryana’s Chanchal Jakhad earned silver, and Rajasthan’s Manju Choudhary secured bronze.

In the Men’s Under-20 1,500 meters race, Haryana’s Sakir secured gold, Uttar Pradesh’s Ritik Deol won silver, and Haryana’s Neeraj Sharma earned bronze. In the 4*100 meters relay race, Maharashtra won gold, Haryana secured silver, and Tamil Nadu took bronze.
