All franchises have finalized their retained players for the 2025 IPL season. Among them, South African player Heinrich Klaasen has been retained for the highest amount. Sunrisers Hyderabad retained Klaasen for ₹23 crore. Following Klaasen, the next two most expensive retained players are Virat Kohli and Nicholas Pooran. Royal Challengers Bangalore retained Virat Kohli for ₹21 crore, and Lucknow Super Giants retained Nicholas Pooran for the same amount.
